Terry took his orals on Friday, which ended the first week of the orals lightning round. This gives Jay and the standing member a long weekend to rest up before the next three exams the following week.
Before:
Terry was in good spirits. I'm told that Chris was
doing a good job of keeping his mind off of the exam,
and that cutting apples was also a good diversion.

The exam had been long and painful, but Terry passed and
celebrated.

After his exam people went out for lunch and more alcohol. By the time they got back to the lab, all were pretty drunk, and they had decided to rent a limo for the evening.
The limo was a great idea. We picked up Qi and headed
for dinner.

Dinner was at the luxurious (and tacky) Hidden
Valley Inn. It was really good.

After dinner, the limo had returned, stocked with three more
bottles of champaigne, and a several bottles of Sam Adams (who
asked for the liquor, I wonder?). The driver took us up to
A mountain, and we cruised 4th Ave in our sweet ride. All
things come to and end, and it dropped us off back at the
lab, where Fred sat on Jani (don't ask me, I don't know).

I also took a couple of short movies (they're in .MOV format). They didn't turn out so well because of the lack of light (in fact you can't even really make out people, its mostly just black). I took one in the limo, and one when we arrived at the Hidden Valley Inn.
