First Tooth!

Today, Arthur was chewing on my knuckle and I thought "Ow!" I took a peek in there and saw the tiniest bit of tooth pointing out of the gum. Like one of those ah-ha moments, I immediately put together the incredible bout of fussiness last Sunday and the seeming sudden cheeriness. Good going, buddy.

In other developmental news, he has been sitting up with a boppy for support for about 2 weeks now. This has brought him to a new level of joy in watching other kids and accessing toys. Last weekend, we opened another box of Helen's old toys for him. She was kind enough to play test all of them for him. His favorite so far: dumping all of the rings off of the stacker and chewing on the post. He's gotten very good at folding in half like a clam to retrieve toys, but if he falls to his side or back he is stuck. Then the shouting begins.

Sorry that there are no pictures or anything to go with the announcement. If we waited for that he'd already be in braces.
