My sister, Amy, died today. I loved her very much, and we will miss her presence in our lives. While it is easy for me to be sad about that fact, it is also easy to smile again since so many of my memories of her and our time together are happy ones.

PEORIA - Amy Lynn Beyer, 28, of Gallatin, Tenn., formerly of Peoria, died on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at her home.
She is survived by her fiance, Erich M. Black of Gallatin; her three dogs, Cleopatra, Jackson and Lulu; her parents, James E. and Cheryl J. Beyer of Champaign, Ill.; and her brother, Ross Beyer, sister-in-law, Rachel Mastrapa, and niece, Helen Beyer, all of Sunnyvale, Calif.
Amy was born June 27, 1978, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Amy was a graduate of Illinois State University.
She was employed by Tiffany and Co. in Nashville, Tenn.
A memorial service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum, 7519 N. Allen Road, Peoria, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007. Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements.
